The founder of the Cryptocode company and a member of the Belarusian Blockchain Association, Alexander Lozben, addressed the organizer and director of the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 John Ola Sandu with a proposal to move the system to count the results of the audience voting on the blockchain.
Alexander, in comments to the online edition of ForkLog, said that it was the controversy surrounding the results of such a musical competition that became the main reason for such a proposal.
According to him, judging the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 should be as honest and transparent as possible, and the introduction of DLT technology would solve this problem. The platform for voting can be the Ethereum and EOS blockchains, Lozbzen says, and the final decision will depend on the reaction from the Eurovision organizers.
According to the founder of the company Cryptocode, the company is ready to take on all the costs associated with the implementation of such an initiative. “From a technical point of view, this is not difficult, but it will take time to integrate with the current system. Our company is ready to do it absolutely for free” Alexander Lozben, the founder of Cryptocode.
Recall, the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 will be held from 14 to 19 May in Tel Aviv, Israel.
